SFMQG September Meeting Summary

Notice : one week later than normal.

Lecture by Diana Li Fitzgerald - The Perception of Randomness Banjoflannel.com

An email went out this morning offering two exercises for testing your skills with and tolerance for randomness. She opened an Etsy shop in 2006 mainly selling purses. Patchwork sashiko is one of her specialties. Diana will be teaching 4 classes at QuiltCon, including this lecture. In the random world, you’ll find there’s truly mathematically random, and there’s the perception of randomness. You might not think there’s much difference. But in a quilter’s world of two-dimensional color, Diana will explain and show the differences. Your takeaway is how to apply it to your personal quilting practice.

Elections

Nominations will be made in October, and the vote will be at the November potluck meeting. A new president is needed to replace Cathy, who is moving, and remote is OK.
